1.Migraine
I suffered from chronic migraine headaches since I can remember. I have taken medications for many years to prevent the migraines and medications to abort them. Since I have been treated by Dr Liang, with acuputure, I have experienced a significant improvement. I continue taking the medications to prevent the migraine attacks, but I am not taking my pain medication because I have not needed them. Every week I had between 2-3 migraines. The fact that I have not needed the pain killers, has made my quality of life so much better. Dr Liang has helped me with Sinus pain as well. When I mentioned to him that I was not sleeping restfully, he treated me as well, and now I am have a more restful sleep which makes a difference in my daily life. Thanks to Dr Liang, I am enjoying whole weeks without migraines and sleeping restfully, and this improvement in life is priceless!

2. IVF
I decided to try acupuncture after my 2nd time failure with IVF. As a neuroscientist, I attempted to find a real acupuncturist who knew what he was doing and what I needed. I was really surprised to know that such an acupuncturist was just on my side at Stanford University. I was treated by Dr. XL for two months and the whole process was full of expectation and surprise. I could feel the change in my body and my energy day by day after his treatment. Then later my third IVF proved to be very pleasant and successful. Now my baby is almost one year’s old. I would say that it was my luck to have Dr. Xibin’s treatment.

3.Thigh Pain
I had a very weird, sudden cruciating pain from the inner side of my right thigh radiating to my right foot in a winter morning. I was unable to move my right knee, to walk and drive. I knew that acupuncture was one of my choices, and as I looked up the area I was impressed by Dr.Liang’s experience and passion in doing the practice. I was driven to him for an emergency treatment. To my surprise, my pain was greatly alleviated after the first treatment and was completely gone after only four sessions of treatment. There is no relapse so far. Thanks, Dr. Liang

4. Low Back Pain
Chronic weakness in my lower back muscles has caused me severe and disabling lower back pain at least twice a year. In the past, I have tried all the usual home-treatment remedies as well as chiropractic treatment, but nothing really helped. After reading about a recent NIH-sponsored study which concluded that acupuncture proved more effective than traditional allopathic therapies, I decided to seek help from Dr. Liang, a local Licensed Acupuncturist. I’m glad I did because his knowledge and his acupuncture treatments have virtually eliminated all my back pain and disablement in just a few weeks. As a result, I am pursuing treatment with Dr. Liang for several other chronic ailments, convinced that the ancient Chinese system can be very effective in increasing the body’s Qi in many different body systems.
I would heartily recommend Dr. Liang and acupuncture treatment to anyone who has an acute or chronic physical problem that hasn’t responded to traditional medical therapies and may seem to be untreatable.

5. IVF
Dr. Liang administered acupuncture on me as I was having trouble conceiving a child after several in vitro attempts. I had also received treatment from two other acupuncturists before going to Dr. Liang. Dr. Laing's acupuncture technique was far superior to that I had received in the past. I also found Dr. Liang not only to have a wonderful and professional demeanor, but he truly cares about his patients. He was conservative in his treatment and did not make promises he could not keep. As an M.D.in China and Chinese trained acupuncturist and a Ph.D., he has a thorough understanding of the human brain and body and how they work in harmony -- his knowledge in this regard cannot be surpassed. By the way, my daughter is now eight months old.

6. Neck and Back pain
Dr. Liang is an exceptional practitioner of traditional Chinese acupuncture and based on my experience, I can recommend him very highly. I first went to Dr. Liang with profound back and neck pain due to an acute injury. I chose to visit Dr. Liang due to his outstanding training and 15+ years of experience. Perhaps most importantly, Dr. Liang was able to help address and alleviate my acute pain. After only one session, I noticed improvement in my lower back. With a few sessions, the acute neck pain began to resolve. Dr. Xibin coupled the acupuncture with cupping, a treatment that was new to me but seemed to help bring relief. Dr. Liang was a gentle and patient practitioner, who took the time to explain the treatment that he was providing. I was also grateful for Dr. Xibin's flexibility and willingness to see me on short notice after a late work meeting.

7. Sciatica
A lady who had been suffering from Sciatica for two years had been treated ineffectively by medications and epiduals. She was cured after 4 sessions of acupuncture treatments within two weeks. See what she said:
Dr. Liang,
My acupuncture treatments for sciatica pain helped me tremendously. Thank you so much for your professional approach to alleviate my pain. I will recommend you to my friends and acquaintances when the opportunity arises. You convinced me that acupuncture as a remedy for pain is very viable.
Sincerely,
Janet from Menlo Park, CA 94026-0670
8. Low Back Pain
Dr. Liang is the man to see if you suffer from lower back pain as I have. After I “threw my back out” for the third time (a problem I have had sense being pregnant), and traditional muscle relaxants had done little to nothing and I was unable to care for my one year old without help for more then a week, I decided to try something else. I found Dr. Liang online, and impressed with his credentials my husband and I called and were relieved at how professional and accommodating he was. In fact, he saw us that night.
I had had some acupuncture before, but was still nervous. Dr Liang was patient, kind and knowledgeable as he walked me through everything as he did it and then spent time telling us of his personal history and journey to medicine and acupuncture. I left his office that night feeling physically better and emotionally comforted that this would actually not just help the pain but what had become a major issue in my life. I went back once a week for 5-7 weeks and found the pain was leaving and the strength returning faster then it ever had. Using a combination of acupuncture, cups, acupressure/massage and electro-acupuncture (which is not nearly as scary as it might sound, but in fact can feel fabulous) in a serene environment, I have found my back feels been better then it has in years.
I recommend acupuncture now to anyone and everyone I know that is suffering for any kind of pain or discomfort, and Dr. Liang is the only one I will trust with my own treatment should the occasion/need to it arise. It has yet to occur again! – Amanda from Burlingame.
9. Shoulder Pain
I decided to seek treatment for a shoulder pain that had limited my range of motion. After an exhaustive search, I was very fortunate to find Dr. Liang. I discovered that he was trained in one of the premier universities in China, which explained his in-depth knowledge of traditional Chinese acupuncture. An added benefit is that he is also a practicing Neuroscientist at Stanford University. This balance of eastern and western medical knowledge is very rare indeed, and I believe it is quite beneficial for the treatment of his patients. After the first treatment my shoulder was about eighty percent better, and after two subsequent treatments the improvement was so substantial I was able to start exercising with weights again.
I have used acupuncture treatments for over 20 years and I can tell the difference between an average practitioner and an excellent practitioner. I highly recommend Dr. Liang; he’s very skilled and very sincere about his approach.

10.Neck pain and tennis elbow
I was suffering from foramina stenosis on my cervical spine area which causes pain and numbness from my neck to my right hand. I had seen doctors and physical therapists but little can be done. I need to take pain killer from time to time to suppress the pain. After the first few sessions with Dr. Liang, my pain was significantly reduced. As I going through the acupuncture treatment, my condition keeps improving. I don't need to take pain killer any more.
I also found acupuncture very effective on treating tennis elbow and wrist pain. I got tennis elbow from playing badminton. Because of the pain, I had to sit out the game for months and the recovery is very slow. I asked Dr. Liang for help. With acupuncture, my recovery speeded up dramatically.
Dr. Liang is very knowledgeable in his practice and very professional. I strongly recommend him.

12. Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Hip Bursitis:
Two years ago I turned to acupuncture as the treatment modality for my recurrent lower back pains. At which time I sought the professional help of Dr. Liang. Using traditional Chinese acupuncture techniques which he learned from master teachers in China, he was able to reduce and then eliminate the twice-a-year back pain suffering I had almost accepted as in integral, albeit unfortunate, part of my adult life.
Getting rid of back pains was a significant achievement in itself but a year ago I began experiencing random pains in various parts of my body: shoulders, groins, hips, buttocks, legs and thighs, some of which affected not only my ability to walk, dress myself, and use bathroom facilities, but affected my emotional state and outlook on life. Seeking the advice of my allopathic internist, it took little time to diagnose my condition as polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) and 10mg of prednisone daily was prescribed. While the multiple pains decreased in intensity, they never went away. In fact, even with the daily dose of the dreaded prednisone, I soon developed trochanteric bursitis in both hips, with the pains so intense that some days the only relief I got was just lying still in bed all day.
Once again I turned to Dr. Liang for help, and the results were dramatic. After merely 3 or 4 acupuncture sessions-during which needles, cupping and acupressure massage were the primary treatment modalities-the bursitis pains in my hips almost entirely disappeared. I am now able to walk, turn in bed, get up out of a chair, dress myself, shower and function in reasonably normal fashion throughout the day…. without pain. During this period I have not used, or even considered using, OTC analgesics or prescription painkillers of any kind, although I am still taking 10mg prednisone everyday, which I hope to reduce little by little until that source of relief is no longer necessary.
Individuals with various forms of disabling and painful myalgias would be well advised to seek relief of those symptoms through the use of traditional Chinese acupuncture, and I can assure you that they would benefit enormously from the knowledge and skilled professional acupuncture techniques employed by Dr. Liang

13. Spondylolisthesis
About a year ago I found out that my radiating back pain and sciatica are probably the result of spondylolisthesis in my lower back. Physical therapy helped to get me back on my feet, but I had on-and-off occurrences of tightness and back pain. Three months ago I had an especially painful episode and had to postpone my flight back from Europe because I almost couldn’t walk and not sit down at all. A Chinese acupuncturist finally managed to restore me to the point that I could manage the flight back to the US, and encouraged me to find a competent Chinese doctor specializing in pain management here in my neighborhood.
Although I am not the bravest patient, I have to say that Dr. Liang has been very good at helping me to trust the process. And it has been worth it. My left hip and leg that used to cramp and hurt with any wrong movement is pain-free, and, since last week, so is my right side. As this is a chronic condition, I still am careful, try to do daily exercises for core strength, and to mind my posture. I walk the Dish again, can ride in a car without going into spasms, and I’m back to taking ballroom dancing lessons. I can carry my 8-months-old granddaughter around, and play ball with my grandson. Finally, I am starting to sleep better again because my back doesn’t act up every time I turn.
Dr. Liang is committed to giving quality care, listening to patients’ concerns, and spending enough time on careful treatment. As a researcher with schooling in TCM as well as Western Medicine, he is also keeping up with the recent news in his field and can offer the best of both worlds. I am very glad I found my way into Dr. Liang’s office!

14. Milk Supply - Postpartum Recovery - Energy Level
Dr. Liang has been a blessing for my postpartum recovery. After several issues with my milk supply, Dr Liang helped me balancing my body to produce the milk that my baby needs. This has improved my baby's feeding process and I am finally able to offer just breast milk without supplementing with formula. I have also lost most of the weight I gained during my pregnancy only 10 weeks after giving birth. My energy levels have improved significantly even while I am feeding my baby twice at night and I am pretty much sleep deprive. I feel like Dr. Liang has giving back to my body something that it has lost with the pass of time.
